An exceptional and unique organization at Harvard-Westlake is HW Venture. Venture offers top notch opportunities for students interested in pursuing entrepreneurship through always pushing students to the next level and inspiring students to find solutions to modern social problems.
HW Venture is made up of a variety of programs that ensures students choose a path that they are most passionate about. One example of these programs is the Incubator. In the Incubator, students are encouraged and taught how to develop a startup. Starting with an initial problem, students learn how to create, refine, and analyze solutions. The Venture program also sponsors a speaker series and workshops where students can listen and learn from experienced entrepreneurial leaders.
Furthermore, HW Venture hopes to engage Harvard Westlake students in affairs beyond academic. By pairing with other students, faculty, and administration, HW Venture targets problems facing the HW campus and community by creating programs and platforms aimed to help all members of HW. Lastly, HW Venture sponsors entrepreneurship summer programs called HW Inc. and Lemonade Stand. HW Inc., a six-day summer program, provides students with the opportunity to explore the basics of entrepreneurship, create their own projects, and pitch that project to a panel of judges. The Lemonade Stand is a four-week program that aims towards helping 5th-7th grade students gain an introductory idea of the world of entrepreneurship.
